All of information you provide through this website, we don't sell or distribute to third parties except that it is legally required. All user information are gathered to serve your needs and reply your request.

Usage of Personal information

All personal information that are used to identify any individual such as a first and last name, home address, email address or other contact information keep in secret. As usual you can visit our web page without telling who you are or revealing any personal info about yourself. We use personal information to process and deliver your order for bill. Maybe it is used to provide a more pleasant shopping experience.

How we use cookies.

As you may know that, when you browse our website, it automatically places all data file called "cookies" on your computer. The data will help to identify you if you visit multiple pages on oursite at the same session. Hence we don't need to ask you for password on each page. Once you close the browser or logout, this cookie is no longer in effect If you want to disable cookies, these benefits will be impacted.

How we protect your personal information

We guarantee that your personal information is protected. We store your info in a secured server. Moreover, SSL is used for checkout process to keep your billing info safe. No credit card info is saved on our system. We don’t share your personal information with any other third parties.

Where are stores and when are they open?

We operate 38 retail outlets across the nation, all of which are open 6 days a week (Monday through Saturday) with the exception of 3 public holidays - New Year's Day (January 1st), Labour Day (May 1st), and Christmas Day (December 25th). 18 of our stores are open, seven days a week – Sunyani, Kumasi (3 shops), Melcom Plus - Kaneshie, Tamale, Ashaiman, Ho, Madina, Melcom Plus - Spintex, Melcom Plus - Tema, Teshie, Tarkwa, Kasoa, East Legon, Kisseman, Lapaz and Weija. Operating hours on Sunday are 12pm to 6pm.

Are there differences in prices across Melcom stores?

We guarantee uniform pricing across all 38 of our retail outlets. This means that the price of any given item will be the same regardless of the location of the shop within the country.

What are the Warranty & Service Centre Policies?

The Service Center supports the sales of electrical and electronic items sold by Melcom Department stores.
The Warranty on goods sold is given from the date of the first sale from Melcom.
The Warranty is against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by voltage fluctuations or from any form of irregular power supply, including spikes and surges, (approx. 90% of the items brought to the Service Centre fall in this category), nor does it cover accessories or broken cabinets or damage caused by misuse or negligent handling. We therefore strongly recommend you to use UPS’s, voltage stabilizers, surge protectors and any equipment of the like to protect your valuable equipment.

Items brought to the service centre which are within the warranty period (the original receipt MUST be produced for the Service Centre to accept it), which have a fault that is a genuine manufacturing defect will be repaired with no charge for either parts or labour. If for any reason it is unable to be repaired, a new replacement or a full refund may be approved.

Items brought within the warranty period which are faulty due to power problems, or other mechanical or electronic problems (e.g. overloading voltage stabilizers, disc mechanisms being jammed due to mis-handling etc.) will be charged for parts, however, labour will be provided free.

Items brought after the warranty period will be charged for both parts and labour.

Items brought for general servicing will be charged for, irrespective of the time line

How can I obtain a loyalty card and what are the benefits?

Melcom's 'Super Saver Card' can be obtained at any Melcom retail location. Swiping the card will entitle the customer to a 5% discount off the entire purchase on purchasing over GHc 100.00.

The Super Saver Card can then be used directly to make purchases, which will be discounted by 5% off the total.
Account details will be accessible online through a personalised login name and password system.
A 'points system' currently still in the development phase is also being planned. Under this system, customers are able to accumulate points as they spend, which will eventually be redeemable for further benefits such as discounts and prizes. The amount of points earned will depend on the GHC value of purchases.

What Happens if I am not home at the time of delivery?

Our customer support officer always calls you before any delivery is made to confirm the details. If you are unable to be present, then delivery can be rescheduled within 3 days.

I haven't received my purchase. What should I do?

If you have not had any contact from Melcom after ordering, then please call us on +233 561 112 777 or email us on info@melcomgroup.com . Make sure to quote your order number when you contact us - you can find it in the email sent as order confirmation.

Can I have my purchase delivered to an address other than my home?

Yes. Melcom delivers to the address of your choice - just make sure you enter this in the "shipping address" field at checkout.

I'd like to pick up my item instead of having it delivered. Is this possible?

Yes. You can pick up your order from any approved Melcom shop nationwide.

Where is your office located?

The Melcom corporate office is located at 2nd Palace Link Road, Off Dadeban Road, North Industrial Area, North Kaneshie-Accra.

Are all products on Melcom Online genuine and original?

Yes. We are committed to offering our customers only 100% genuine and original products.

How do I place an order?

Shopping on Melcom Online is easy! Once you have found the product you want to buy, just follow the steps below:

Click on ‘Add to Cart’ to add it to your shopping cart.
Register an account or login to your existing account by entering your email and password.
Enter your shipping/billing information.
Choose your preferred payment option.
Click on ‘Place Order’ to complete your order

Once your order is placed, we will automatically confirm it by either notifying you via email, or we will call you for confirmation in case we need more details. Please note that this confirmation is a mandatory step before we ship your order. If you are unsure of whether your order has been confirmed or not, please contact our customer service call centre on 0800 23456 or send us a WhatsApp message on 056 111 2777. You can also send an email to info@melcomgroup.com a few hours after you have placed your order.

How do I pay on Melcom online?

You can choose from any of these different payment methods available on Melcom Online:

There are no hidden costs or charges when you order from Melcom Online. All costs are 100% visible at the end of the checkout process.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery time varies based on products ordered, shipping address and the delivery option chosen. All orders will be delivered within 72 working hours after the order is placed.

Are there any extra delivery charges?

Yes, there may be extra delivery charges depending on the value of your order. During the checkout process, you will be informed of the relevant delivery charges.

Is your website secure? How can I be sure?

Our website is extremely secure and uses the latest technology to encrypt your private information. It is the same technology used by major global companies so you can be sure that all of your personal information is safe. All payments made online are secure and powered by our banking partner Stanbic Bank.

What happens if the products I receive are defective?

Whilst we strive to make sure that your goods reach you in perfect condition, we cannot entirely rule out the possibility of delivering a defective product. Upon delivery, the delivery driver will check each product in your presence. Each product will be delivered in its original packaging.

Can I return items that are not defective?

How long does it take to process refunds?

If for any reason you are due a refund from Melcom Online, your money should be credited within 7 working business days from the processing date.

What if I’m not home when the order arrives? Will they re-deliver?

On the day of your delivery, a customer support officer will call you to confirm the delivery details. If you are unable to receive your purchase, then delivery can be rescheduled within 3 days. If 3 unsuccessful delivery attempts are made, your order will be canceled.

I have Melcom Gift Vouchers - can I use them on the Melcom Online store?

No, sorry Melcom Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed online at this time.
